Prohibition of aggression and war in the Quran

The Quran is the only divine book that explicitly prohibits starting war and even prohibits excesses and aggression on the battlefield.

In Surah Anfal of the Quran, God tells Muslims: "If the enemies incline to peace, incline to it too, and put your trust in God, for He is Hearing, Knowing." In Surah Al-Ma'idah of the Quran, God says to Muslims: "O you who have believed, stand firm in the cause of God, bearing witness to justice. And let not the enmity of a group prevent you from being just. Be just, that is nearer to piety. And fear God. For God is Aware of what you do." In Surahs Taha, Al-Baqarah, and An-Nisa, God commands the Prophet of Islam to be patient and forgiving towards polytheists.

For example, when Hitler invaded neighboring countries to conquer their people, the commanders of those countries had to give orders to fight back. The order to kill is the simplest order that any rational person can understand in this situation. The order to fight and kill was given to Muslims when the polytheists attacked them, drove them out of their cities, and plundered their property. God says in Surah Hajj: Permission for jihad is given to those against whom war is imposed, because they have been wronged. Of course, God is Able to give them victory.
